What we collect

Property addresses / BBLs you enter. Used to look up public NYC Department of Finance assessment records and compute your verdict. Addresses are public-record lookups — the assessment data itself is published by the City.

Email addresses you provide. Used to deliver your result card, your purchased appeal packet, deadline reminders, and product updates related to TaxTrim. Email is optional for the free verdict and required at checkout.

Technical data. IP address (used for rate-limiting the free check) and basic request logs. No accounts, no passwords, no tracking pixels in emails.

What we never do

We never sell your personal information. We never share your email with third parties for their marketing. Assessment lookups are computed from public city datasets — we don't broker your data to anyone.

Email & unsubscribe

Every email TaxTrim sends carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing is honored immediately and recorded in our per-product do-not-mail suppression list — you will not hear from TaxTrim again after unsubscribing, except for receipts for purchases you made. Marketing emails are never sent without your consent; transactional emails (receipts, packet delivery, deadline reminders you asked for) are product-functional.

Data retention & deletion

Verdict cases are kept to serve your results and improve the product. To delete everything we hold about you — your cases, captures, and orders — email info@mehyar.us from the address you used, with the subject "Delete my TaxTrim data". We confirm deletion within 30 days.

Security

Result and packet links use unguessable tokens. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Children

TaxTrim is for property owners and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll note the new date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
